Buddy got stuck this after noon. While trying to get out he heated up the muffler which was now sitting on freshly bush hogged field and caught fire as I was hooking up to him. I yanked as hard as I could and got stuck my self. I looked back and saw the flames were as high as the truxk. I then unhooked from him and tried to get out with no luck. Fire department got there just in time to put out the flames around my jeep. 2 or 3 more minutes it would have been a 2 for 1 .

Ouch. I know two of my friends who have done that. I think they usually blame the transfer case though, rather than the muffler.

Ouch! You'd be surprised how fast a vehicle will become fully involved. Tractors too.

Yeah. Only mufflers on fords get hot.

I had a friend in high school whose Chevy S10 burnt to a crisp one night. Worst part was we were all out partying at a place and, his burning truck was blocking the ONLY exit...Easy ticket writing for the cops that night!:work::rotfl:
