Sons first vehicle

My son Hunter turns 16 on the 19th of this month his mom is bringing him to get his license on the 20th. The last two years have been rough for him. He spent a big part of last year at St Jude's fighting a tumor in his brain stem and this year hoping the treatment was a success and going back every three months for follow ups. In spite of all this he maintains a 3.8 GPA while taking Honors classes. So as a reward, last month I bought him a new truck for his birthday. The dealership is keeping it for me until I'm ready to give it to him. He doesn't come to this site so I feel comfortable posting it here. I've had a great stereo installed and yesterday they brought it to have the windows tinted. How would you like to get this truck for your 16th birthday? LOL :D

I'm at work until the 21st. I plan on having it sitting in the parking lot in front of his school that day when I get home with a big red bow on it.

If your thinking about a Ford I'd highly recommend Terrebonne Ford in Houma they have a great selection and will make you a great deal. Ask for Sean, tell him Benjy sent you.

Your a great father. Best wishes to your son and family. I will say an extra prayer this evening for you all. He will appreciate his gift more than you will ever know.

Usually i would give you a bit of a hard time for "spoiling" the young man with a brand new vehicle.

However it would seem to me, that based upon your story, this particular young man has done a fine job even when faced with a incredibly tough situation. Kudos to him for making it happen! And great job to you dad for teaching him the values to get him to that stage.

So with that said... Well done... to both of you... and i hope he enjoy's the heck out of that fine truck for a long long time!

p.s. i hope none of his friends come to this site either.. :)
