can't really tell from the seedhead but looks like it could be vaseygrass (Paspalum urvilleii)

If you're growing it, call it Meaux Grass! :rotfl:

Vaseygrass would have a whitish midvain and rough leaf margins.

Switchgrass would have white hairs on it as well as the white midvein DB described.

kinda looks like what I call razor grass or cut grass because it has a sharp edge that will cut you

Feel like the 1st is a Paspalum. May be P. dilatatum (dallisgrass), need to see it in a few days when its heading out.

Could the first pic be young Raoul grass? If so get rid of it before it takes over everything!

I was just commenting on the ideas for both of them. I'm not the best at grasses, but that first one definitely looks like a paspalum.

The second one could be a panicum.

What does it smell like. More in the cucumber or limon. If limon it's limon grass. If it sweet it sweet grass. If it sage .....yo what it smell like.

Mexican rag & Columbian

leblanc272 05-12-2014 07:53 PM
