Lots of fish up north around indian village and kinder. When the water is down and clear fishing is good. Fish laydowns. Like sledgehammer said, lots of spots.

You never know what you'll catch up the river, my cuz was fishing a Travis Merit tournament a couple years back and caught a 8 and a half pound largemouth a couple bends up from where barns creek comes into the calcasieu. There's good fishing up in barns creek, and old town bay off the river.

Anybody ever have any luck catching big bream in the river up near Indian Villiage/Kinder? We catch a bunch of small sun perch during the summer but seem to have a hard time finding any big ones.

Lots of smaller Kentucky bass.

We grew up fishing up there with fly rods, using poppers and tube jigs and some years seemed better than others on the bream, but those Kentucky red eyes can be a lot of fun. Hope to make a couple of trips later this summer.

yes they can be, we went yesterday around white oak and only maganged 3 fish for 5 hours of fishing, all completely different patterns, not sure what we did wrong, we did run way north of high lines past 2nd fork and current was rolling (im assuming it always is) but the water was still quite dirty
