I don't see any ice in your picture. Did you keep them ice down as you caught them and until you cooked them?
If not kept cold, crabs can be "Mushy". |

One of my facebook posted a 120 ice chest with nothing but #1's @the ant pile. Look's like I' being heading that way during the week.

They were still alive ice down after the picture meat was not mushy they were a mix of full to med full but over all they were awesome |

The Ant Pile weir is east of the Cement weir and a little ways before you get to the Mud weir. The Ant Pile is a couple hundreds yards down a dead end canal on the south side of the main East-West canal.
