WOT speeds from Nautic Star 2110 owners.
I have an 07 2110 (tunnel version) with 200 optimax and mercury rev4 17p prop. With half tank and just me I get 40-42 kts WOT(5500rpm on digital tach).
Just curious to see what other owners have seen in their 2110 setups. Post it up. Thanks |
02 22' pathfinder, 200 hpdi, 5500 rpm--55mph with 3 blade 19 pitch prop---52 mph with 4 blade. had the boat and motor since 02 and it;s been like that since break in.

Yup. Not looking to start a my boat is faster thread just curious what other owners are getting.

Second post was from a pathfinder.
Just thinking it should be faster with a 200. My buddy gets 46 with a 150 opti on a 2110. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk |
I know the tunnel hurts speed and ive got a 17p prop on the boat. Plus bottom paint
|
We have a 2100 Nautic Star and get 53 with a 150 Yamaha.

Edit!! If your running 47 mph at 5500 RPMs and your gear ratio is 1.75 then your are seeing 7% prop slip which is pretty good actually. |
Ive got a 6" jack plate. What im more or less looking for is more speed at lower rpm. I want to travel faster at cruise rpms
|
What's your cruise RPM and speed?

I recently installed tabs too.
I was cruising with 5 adults and full fuel at 30 kts around 4500 |
34.5 mph at 4500 RPMs equates to a 17% slip. That's pretty high.
Did you move the engine up and down on the jackplate with that heavy load? If memory serves me correctly my 21p Rev4 likes to be ran with the centerline of the prop shaft about 5.4" below the pad. I need to remeasure and send my prop to Mark Croxton so he can add some cup and clean it up. I'd like to try an OFX4 next. If you were able to get to a 7% slip at 4500 RPM your speed would be around 38mph. |
Superdave, how do you calculate the slip? i would love to know since i will be propping mine out this year.
