Tohatsu 115 2 Stroke

Are the Older Tohatsu 115 2 Stroke Engines any Good?

keakar 05-30-2014 03:06 PM

well im pretty sure you need to be just a little more specific then that, at least give us a general period of the year models you are asking about

older engines could mean anything from 1980's or 2008 so please narrow it down for us

All year model 115hp 2 stroke Tohatsu's are identical. Nothing changes. They are decent motors, not top of the line in the 115 class. They are an inline 4 cylinder 108 cubic inch motor. The exact same block and carbs as the 140 tohatsu. With some minor tweaking, it can be tuned to a 140. The top of the line 115-140hp motors were the V block motors, OMC V4 and Yamaha V4. About the same cubic inch, but the V4 had tons more torque than the inline 4.
Here, you can download the PDF file service manual for all 3 & 4 cylinder tohatsu 2 strokes.

Call these folks. If they don't have it, it probably does not exist:
