Holly Beach

We have a fathers day weekend planned to go do some surf fishing at Holly Beach. I've never been other that to go offshore. Will it be worth the time or are we going to sit out there and just catch 12 oz. fish out of the ice chest all weekend? I heard that the seaweed can be bad this time of year. Any information and tips would be greatly appreciated.

sea weed on the beach is good because it keeps the party people at bay. just sucks when its still in the water.
