We found out my wife is having a girl! Where in the Hell do I start with raising a girl? This is going to be a HUGE learning curve. I already told the ol lady that I'm putting our 2 year old boy in boxing next week! God help me and any little boy that comes around...... I may need a new shovel too.

I'm hoping she turns out like this, but the wife doesn't agree. :D

I thought the same thing when I found out I was having a girl. Now she's 2 and I wouldn't trade her for any boy in the world.

It's easier than you think. Mine is 4 now and, my whole world! My little boy is a different being all together. I don't love one anymore than the other but, where we'll be hard on our boys, our little girls...Well...You'll love it!

Congrats Matt. My girl is 18 now. Its been a fun ride bro. Luckily for her she got her moms looks by my dont F with me attitude. Our daughter grew up to be a very beautiful young woman so the teenage boys were plentiful. I only had to have "the talk" with a few of them. They rest she set straight herself.
She'll have you wrapped around her finger bro. :)

Thanks fellas. We are excited. My wife is already looking at bows and stuff online. She had a pretty good idea of getting a monogram machine to convert a lot of the boy clothes we already have to girl clothes, but I know she'll still go crazy on outfits. I already know I'll be wrapped around her finger because my niece and god daughter already have me tied up tight. Hopefully I'm able to fuss her like I do with my boy when she gets out of line.

Girls are great. However, Aliens come and kidnap her around 13 and leave you with a some crazy look alike. Then around 18 they bring her back...

Congrats, here's a little advice. When your daughter gets old enough to date greet the young man at the door and take a Polaroid pic of him and have him put it in his pocket or wallet. If he asks what it's for, tell him if anything fishy happens to your daughter on their date, his mom would have recent pic of him to remember him by before you got a hold of him.

If any man or alien would kidnap my 5 yr old girl I promise y'all they would bring her back in a few hrs and tell me they are sorry and feel for me cause that thing has a major attitude!!!!!!!!! Lol! I kinda feel for the guy that ask me to marry her in the future! My words to him will be "good luck podna" lol! And I have a 2 yr old starting to act the same! Girls are h.e.l.l. on wheels!!!!! Me and my 9 yr boy are in a bind with 3 women in the house, we keep threatening to go live at the camp just us two! Ha!

Congrats Matt! I didn't know what to do when I found out I was getting a daughter either. Just relax and spend lots of extra time with her. Everything else will come naturally.

One of the best stories i have heard is from a cop friend. Boy comes to the door to pick up his daughter for a date so he made sure he was in uniform. As he walks in the door, he drops the clip from his revolver and takes one bullet out and gives it to you young man. As he is doing this, he holds his clip up, looking him straight in the eye, and said...."Don't let these other bullets have to come looking for the one in your pocket. You can drop my daughter and bullet off at 10:00PM. LMAO

As he walked them to the car outside, he walked behind the car and told him don't be surprised if he gets stopped from the Police tonight! This was his daughters first date!

They were both back by 9:30!

When you have a boy. you only have to worry about one Peter. When you have a girl you have to worry about all the Peters.

Happy for you man.........my oldest is a girl........she is now 22 and headed off the UGA for her master's.

What was said above is so true.......aliens had her for a few years...........but the groud work was laid down and I pity them bastards.

I sat on the sidelines and watched her have a unbeleivable college expereince........she was captain of LSU's color gaurd and went to all the bowl game and ended her hoorah there with a trip to Dublin with the Tiger band.......

Get her started soon.......by 12 girls are who they are.........very little to affect change after thier "change" if you get my drift.........

Mine would be slipping on pink tutu's for dancing asking about where we were going to go hunting of fishing for the weekend.

She no longer does much of it..........but groundwork is there............

She is 5'2" and can back a trailer WAY better than her "boy friend" (respectful kid but I'm pretty sure he had never been dirty)............

sorry............I think I got a little melancholy there.......

I don't know... my oldest daughter just turned 28 and is still that alien look alike. Fortunately, my youngest just turned 16 and I don't think she's been kidnapped yet. :)

Dont worry about being melancholy bro. They grow up too fast.
They go from this to that over night.
Gota live every second of it because it disappears too fast.
