Go Long .. Get as much MULLET as U can.. Carolina rig with 3/8 and 1/2 eggs. hook of your choice. Also Lemon Head matrix shad...

Look for good water long.. LOTS OF JACKS AND SPANISH... Lost $20 of jigheads, hooks, and eggs.

Caught a nice mess.

Ok.. For all U novice.. FINGER MULLET.. Means mullet 4 to 6". or the size of a Iphone or most of your boyhoods....:help::help::eek:hehehehehe... But 3" works also. In the Ice chest are Spec.'s.. One spanish... I LOST at least $20 of jigheads, kalhe hooks, floro leader.. Mean's I lost them due to EITHER breaking off of Jacks, or Spanish cut them off.

Would have had a 25 trout (one limit) had it not been for the fact I was alone and didn't use the net.. Lost 6-8 nice trout to flippin.

Nice catch man....can't wait till they start moving closer inland for us small boat owners.

Used to wear the Spanish Mackerel out "long", on everything from fingerling mullet to plastics, 'bout this time of year too (early offshore shallow water trout season- 12'-40' of water. Not all outside trips were good, East was generally better than West, out of SW Pass.

BTW, thanks for the pic. Looks like you did good. As far as da Mullet, I've fished with dem all my life, not used to hearing many folks use them. I prefer them 10-1 over croakers. I actually caught some Spec's on Pogies lately, cause dat was all I could catch.

What do you mean by "boyhood"? Am I detecting some anger?

Saw a bunch of schools of Jacks at Diamond. they were about 3 feet long. they wouldn't bite on artificial.
