After a well needed vacation with family it was time to get back to business!!!! Danny (Black Cloud!!) Lirette was back on the big Bluewave again today with his good friend Jerry Roth. We were greeted with wind, choppy seas, stained water, and storms building all around us (I refused to let the weather beat us!!). We got on location and hunkered down!! Keeping a close eye on the storms while we picked away on a slow bite. The sky started clearing up, winds calmed and the water started looking better. The bite picked up as we got on a good run. As soon as I hooked up on a solid double, we thought it was on!!! The Black Cloud had finally moved away from us!! LOL. The bite never turned on hot but persistence was key. We kept throwing our double rigged Matrix Shad (avocado, green hornet, Tiger) and kept chipping away at them. The K2 was looking good with 15-17 inch fish. The guys threw in the towel around 11:30, and we headed in to clean fish. Always a pleasure fishing with Danny and his crew. Thank you for the continued business.
