Side the Road Crabbing

Where's the best place to go to bring the family crabbing on the side the road so I don't have to use my boat?

You might try Price Lake Rd. at Rockefeller Refuge. They just improved the bridges and docks.

if you are goin to Price Lake Road on a weekend you better get there early to get a good spot. It is usually full of people on the weekend.

You can also go to Joseph harbor boat launch. There was a lot of people catching yesterday morning. And with improvements it's nice and lotta room

Joesph's harbor is right when you get to the refuge, boat launches are on the left side of the road, cant miss them. Price lake road is the next road on the left. It goes all the way down the canal till it reaches the end of the canal, usually a good crabbing spot if you don't want to bring the boat.

Those directions are accurate if you're coming from the East. If coming from the West, just reverse them. Good luck

We caught 5 1/2 dozen a few number 1 most were number 2's we saw people catching at Joseph harbor they were letting a bunch go they were small. From boat it was hit and miss catch a bunch then it would stop. Most I saw was 9 dozen caught. Hadn't heard much bout price lake road. Bit there are alotta spots on side of road there
