Recommended Pellet Rifle

My dad has a spring powered pellet rifle that he is not pleased with. It's a Crossman Quest 1000. He's using it to control the varmints that are getting in his garden and fruit trees. What is a good pellet rifle that is accurate and what is an inexpensive scope he can mount on it. Thanks for any help.

I've killed quite a few squirrels with the Beeman one they sell at Walmart. Got my limit sitting in a lawn chair in my back yard.

Bout tree fiddy

I have a Gamo Hornet .177 with a sweet .22 scope on it. It has killed 3 possums and 2 crows...... bad little gun and pretty acurate. You have to shoot about 30-40 pellets to get it broken in. Dont skimp on the pellets, get the good ones.

I have had my Benjamen .22 caliber for close to 18 years and love it.

Killed everything from rabbit to crows to oppossum. I am sure it will take care of any varmit that is bothegrin the garden.

To me the .22 caliber makes all the difference.

Get him on of these. He'll be the baddest farmer on the block.

I have the Benjamin trail NP 22 cal. With a cheap crossfire mil for scope. I too limited out from my back patio just watching the garden. Taken lots if squirrels and rabbits and it's very quiet. Have noticed that it's picky about pellets. I bought as many types as I could find and shot lots of groups at paper until I found one that worked. I'll shoot it out to 60 yards confidently and it'll hit the target at 100 but consistency goes to crap

Quieter than a pellet gun. You can buy em at a gun store. Good for about 30 yards. It has no powder only primer. You can shoot em in town. It won't cycle in an auto. You have to manually eject em.
