Al & Nathan Reaux and Blaise & Josh Champagne were back on the big Bluewave today. We targeted trout early then reds. The gulf was a bit choppy this morning, which made me change my game plan. Our first stop was slow, picking away at 10 fish. Our next few stops were slow also just picking away. We found birds diving on shrimp and started slinging some fish into the K2. Double rigged Matrix Shad in Tiger and Avocado did all the damage. The bite never got hot like the previous days, so at 10:30 we switched gears to redfish. As soon as we arrived at the honey hole it was redfish every cast!! East as it gets as the reds stack up this time of year and are simple to catch. My crew put the limit of reds in the Bluewave in short order, as it was double to quadruple hook ups every cast!! We left the reds biting to return to the lodge. Always enjoy fishing with Al, thanks.
