Machine Shop around Lafayette

Local boat shop has tried everything they can, broke 3 easy outs. So now i am looking for names of machine shops around Lafayette that could remove a broken ez out from my 50 HP Mercury powerhead. Thanks in advance

EDM

If you can find a shop that does electrical discharge machining they can remove an EZ out. The problem is finding one willing to do it for an individual that is not connected to a big company. There was a small CNC shop in Sulphur where I live that did one for me as a favor and $35. They have closed since then.
Reliable EDM's website in Broussard, La. says they have the EDM machines.

What type of easy out the spiral type or the square types. I'll ask some guys if they have a machine that can arc it out.

Any machine shop can set it up and get it out with a carbide end mill.

I have done this a lot. Crank up the RPM's and slowly cut it out.

If I still was on my tools I would help you out.

Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) is probably the easiest way if you can locate a facility.

I would assume that these new water jet machines would work also but I have never been around those.

Yep, my dad is the shop manager there. Ask for "Big Ed".
