RCI auctions . Cheap prices but you have to pay to get it shipped.

I bought a Ice-o-Matic 100lb ice machine six years ago. Have had zero trouble with it. It was cheaper than the manatawak or the scotts. The secret to keeping an ice machine from breaking is for it to run everyday, whether you use ice or not. Scoop out a bucket of ice and throw it away so machine will kick on. Also, if you keep the machine outside in a uninsulated shop make sure you buy the water cooled machine. Not an air cooled. Air cooled machines are great for indoors, not outdoors.

Did you notice an increase in your water and electric bill with a water cooled machine.

I should say sizable increase.

Not very much at all. It average's around 15-20$ a month increase in water and elec. In the summer my shop will get close to 100 deg so the ice melts pretty fast so the machine runs more. But like I said before that's the best thing for an ice machine is to run. Now in winter the machine may not kick on for 3-4 days unless I take ice out. My water bill averages around 45-50$ a month during summer months and 25-30$ in winter.

The water being discharged out the machine is very little. But its enough to have it piped to the ditch or to a P-trap to your sewer.
