A beauty berry makes a good insect repellent too. Boil the leaves then strain. Put the juice in a squirt bottle and you got it. Also seems to help keep horse flies from driving our dog nuts.

This is a beauty berry bush. They grow all around my place.

Yes, often called French Mulberry. The leaves repel mosquitoes. Great for early season bowhunting and its an excellent wildlife plant in general


Coworker from Grand Isle mixes up a concoction with 1/3 Listerine, 1/3 Vanilla Extract, and 1/3 water for mosquito/gnats and it works very well also. Smells better than Off also

If this is the same list I saw about a month ago, I don't think it includes Wax Myrtle, which is also a great mosquito/insect repellant.
