Pavey reef question

Last time i fished the reef, Ive noticed that the north side on east side of pavey reef makes an upside down V on the north east side inbetween marsh island and the reef.
how far east should you go before turning around to fish the east side of pavey reef?

If I understand you correctly the northern section of Pavy is a broad flats that rises on the the western edge exposing the reef on low tide. This ridge goes SE then E in a dog leg. I've never caught much on the eastern flats. Normally we cast over the ridge looking to see which side the fish is hanging on. Top water will work well in this area.

That whole east side of pact is mostly oysters. Be careful of the tide. Ask me how I know! Lol

From the north tip of Pavy's a live oyster reef runs SE, yes. You should go all the way around it before turning back west to the inside of the reef.....LOL. To answer your question, all the way until it drops off......

it runs at least 1/4 mile I'd say.
about a 1/3 the total length of the reef maybe?
and yes, you can catch fish along that side....

On another note is best to drive south and around paved reef if going east? I'll be exploring this fall if the weather permits

Yes. The south tip used to marked with PVC poles. Not sure if they still there. Haven't been in a few years.

If you look at GoogleEarth and slide the imagery date back to 11/1/05, you can see a lot of the reef exposed.
