Lets talk Knives

What types of knives do you all carry with you on a daily basis?

A little spiderco knockoff from Shop-Rite, I loose all my good ones. My next one will be a Myerchin, really fine craftsmanship and handy tools for what I do. Here's a link... http://www.myerchin.com/P300_Sailors_Tool.html

right now, a cat. knife a buddy gave me,but I had bought a boker to carry. Very nice, with the ceramic blade extreeeeemely light. THe only problem, I always had to ship it off to get it sharpened. Couldnt finda anyone around here that had anything to sharpen it with.

In my pocket I have a Remington Sportsman, half serrated blade knife. I got it from work as a safety thingy one time. I love it, except for the clip.

I also have a Gerber lock blade pocket knife with a titanium blade. I had it for years and used it mostly for alligator hunting and skinning. I keep it in my truck for emergencies now that I no longer hunt.

On my big boat, I have a stainless steel West Marine rescue knife. It is a serrated lock blade knife for cutting ropes, string, straps, ect... It is a great knife for those things and it only cost $10 when I bought it. It isn't good for anything else, but it sure comes in handy when you need to cut rope. It cuts thru them like butter.

I carry a Kasper CRKT most of the time...I also have a Kershaw that feels good in my pocket. The rest are piled up in a drawer

When I was younger, we went to Mexico every time we went hunting in SW Texas. I would buy a hand full of them and bring home to sell to my friends at school. I would buy them for $2 and sell them for $20.
But they didn't care if you had a knife in school or a shotgun in the gun rack of your truck.
Hunting before school wasn't anything they looked down on back then.
Neither was carrying a pocket knife. You needed something to gut your ducks with before chunking them in the ice chest so they won't spoil while you was schoolin'.
