Ipilot troubles

My remote keeps flashing "F" when I'm trying to use it. The motor will do nothing. Has anyone had this issue before?

jmarine 10-16-2014 09:33 PM

check your batterys if your getting low voltage beyond what voltage your t/m is it will not work right i would unplug each batt. and load test them evan if you have the correct voltage your amps might not be there on 1 batt.

I have had mine start acting goofy a few times. I just take the battery out of the remote and wait a few seconds and plug it back in. It's never given me the F before. Could be what marine said but I'd start simple.

Thanks for the replies. I've changed the remote battery, no luck. I'll try the motor batteries tomorrow.

I have not experienced this but did a search and found that it could be a voltage problem. make sure to check the voltage at the plug. below is a quote from one of the only posts i found with a cure. this is in line with jmarine's suggestion.

"make sure your trollin motor is getting sufficient power from the battery, mine did the same exact thing yesterday and it turned out i had a dead battery and the motor wasnt receiving 36volts but the remote did flash F"

Try re pairing your remote with your trolling motor also

The only time mine has acted up is when the plug isn't in good.
Then it will flash and go off immediately

I have a spare remote if you need to troubleshoot.

That happened to a friend of mine. Flashing "F" continuously. Mother board went out. Had to replace it
