Having a problem with some of the kids from down the street coming in my yard trying to swipe satsumas off my tree. Have run them off twice today. No use talking to the dad as he has smoked so much of the fake stuff his brain is fried.
Don't mind giving the neighborhood kids the fruit if they come ask and let me or the wife pick it. but they pull on the limbs and break them which will kill the tree.
Hate to call the law on a couple of small kids but they can't seem to understand thou shall not steal???

That's a tough one..

Call the law and have them tell the fried brain if he don't keep them out of your yard you gunna press charges and he is responsible for his kids. I had the same problem with my neighbor and after I told them twice I called the law and the deputy came out and he went tell them next time I was gunna press charges and their parents will be responsible. No problem since and I don't mind giving to anyone who ask's and I also offer to others just don't come and destroy or help yourself........Boils down to not being taught respect....

Pick a bucket full and bring it to them,better than the little ****s damaging your tree. Maybe start them a tree and teach them how to care for their own.

Right on! Explain what there actions are doing to the tree which Breaking branches. Then let them know that if they ask for some you would give them a bag. But taking them off your tree is wrong And what it leads too.

Solid advice above .,,,,,, kids want and need discipline . Not always harsh discipline but a set of rules to stay within ..... There father isn't teaching them ..... Maybe you can show them a different way ..... Your few minutes with them may change them ...... Or if they are completely ruined already ...... Then harsher action may be required

i never did that when i was a kid--------it was pears.

a fence will do better then a cop will and an electric fence will teach a lesson one will not easily forget!

Put a sign hanging in the tree with the skull and crossbones with Ebola written beneath it.
