11/12 - Cold white perch
3 Attachment(s)
Stopped at a couple of canals in the area today with a buddy to kill a little time. It was cold and windy, but we found a few fishing off the bank. All were caught on small jigs either under a cork or tightlined. The largest ones were caught in one area about one foot off the bank and the others were caught in about 6-8' of water about 3' down. Ended with 15 white perch and 3 catfish.

Nice catch! I don't think we will make it this weekend. My son has a baseball tournament. Thanks for the report.

Nice catch.. Those sacs are good but it's hard to beat a catfish that size fried whole..

I normally fillet them out. Do you do anything other than skin them and gut them when you fry it whole? I fry bream and perch whole after scaling and gutting, but have never done a catfish.

Yea just skin and gut. Nothing special. If it's a thicker cat maybe cut a few slits in it so it cooks throughout.
