new boats

I just sold my bay boat so im in the market for a new one, looking for something in the 22ft range with atleast 200hp, really considering the frontier meridian 2104, also looking to keep it under 50k plus ttl. Just looking for some experienced input

I have a 2104 frontier with the suzuki 175. Awesome boat, dry ride, fast sips gas. Lots of storage. I have no complaints at All. There's a few other people that have one as well.

If you ever headed to lafayette I could show you my boat. Shoot me a pm.

Alphaman, i fish grand isle alot and it can get rough real quick there, how well can it handle big chop? Only thing i dont like ab the frontier is there is no step/fishbox between the front deck and floor

It handle the big chop very well!!. And you wont get wet. They way the bow is made it slices through the chop! Have you seen on up close

Another boat I considered was the ranger bahia. That's a nice boat. But I chose frontier bc I felt it was a better fit for my family.

Vermillion bay with a front coming in from the North!😉

1-3ft, im more than likely gonna go with the frontier with a yamaha 200sho

alphaman 01-18-2015 05:33 PM

For the price. 4k more your only getting 5 mph faster. My WOT with 175 is 53-54 full tank gear. My buddy just got a 2104 with the new 200 suzuki.

1-3 wouldnt be a problem at all with the frontier

I took 3 footers on lake P one day but they were spaced out good.
My boat continues to impress me in diffrent choppy conditions.

Did you get wet? Id say probably not.
The way the bow is designed is what makes the big difference btw frontier and how other boats are designed..

I have and I think the talk of the 3 footers is comical. Keep it going.

Lol clearly I don't think anyone will be running/on step in 3 footers in any bay boat I'd say.

Now taking on 3 footers while maneuvering into them is the handling I'm talking about.

No. I have got very few drops of water on me.
And hell no I wasn't running wide open. In 3s but I got 35mph but like I said the were spaced out perfect.

If the wind blows right with the seas, you will get wet...

Yes, all conditions being perfect you will get wet. It would also depend on what you consider a dry ride.
