wow, just wow

My dad just called

His fishing partner just called him and told him about something that happened last week

He went on a guided hunting trip in texas, Deer

Well he got to the stand that was all heated and ready to go

About 2 hours into the hunt, he hears someone climbing up the stand. He thinks nothing of it, just says hey man, someones in here, He hears the guy climb back down and he continues his hunt.

About an hour later he hears someone else climbing up the stand. Again he says hey man someone is up here already.

Well about that time an arm reaches through the shooting window and grabs him trying to pull him down.

Luckily the guy has a loaded pistol that he carries all the time and unloads through the stand on the arm. The arm was covered in thick coarse hair.

Well come to find out when the guides get there because they heard shooting, it was an orangutan that was 1 of 3 that escaped from a zoo nearby.

Crazy story, the guy is lucky he had that pistol with him.

It is a true story

Yak, I may need to see some pics of this, man. I am not doubting that you were told this story, it is just VERY hard to believe. I really can't stop laughing thinking about it, b/c if it is true I would of **** my pants.

yak'em-n-stack'em 12-07-2009 11:51 PM

i have no proof, other than the trustworthiness of the teller

BottomOfTheBoot 12-08-2009 12:34 AM

man...they really have everything you could ever want in Texas.

Wildlife and Fisheries probably gave him a ticket bc he didnt have a tag for an orangutan....

that'd be a hell of a picture with the other people hunting that day. They have their 10 point bucks on the back of 4 wheelers and that guy has a frickin orangutan!!

Mediumheavyaction6'6 12-08-2009 06:51 AM

i would normally insert some witty smart arse comment here but......if this happened it is such a freaky event there are no words that make it better

longsidelandry 12-08-2009 08:53 AM

That's some crazy ****!!!

Is he going to mount it???????:smokin: That would be a helluve conversation starter in your living room. Anyone remember "Clyde" in the Eastwood flick
"Any Which Way But Loose"??? Orangutan's are supposed to have ten times the strength of a man. That could have ended up like the women in California that was malled by the chimp and lost her hands and face.

I went to get my hunters ed sunday and the guy giving the course said that they have placed bears in that area, the Atchafalaya basin area, and all the way in the way in the north east corner of our state. He said if they keep multiplying like they are we could have a season within the next 2 years.

I ran up on something called a Ring Tailed Cat when hunting in SW Texas when I was a kid. Looked like it was 1/2 monkey, 1/2 cat and 1/2 raccoon and had big eyes.

Those things are all over Texas.

I saw several at night in the Del Rio area about 10 years ago.

The rabbits were like red ants here.....they were everywhere. Some places we Shinned there were 30 to 50 rabbits.
