Good Rod to go with a Shimano Caius Baitcaster???

Hello all,

I am looking to get a good rod to go with a Shimano Caius Baitcaster that I will be using for specs and reds. I'm using 14lb monofilament line. Don't have much experience with rod selection, so I need some help. I like the thinner diameter rods, but I don't know if that makes a difference. So help me out!

I have a few different ones. I like the old school falcon HD either 7' or 7 1/2'. Or the falcon inshore med popper. Waterloo phantom is a great one. I used a buddy of mine Duckett ghost and it was great as well. I would go with something 7' or close and med strength, fast action. Your going to want something with some whip for that reel. Pretty much all the rods in that price range or comparable, it comes down to what you like and what fits your hand the best. There are lots of threads About rods on here. They all are pretty much the same argument between the same few brand whores.
