Trout Got Rocked

Here in lower Terrebonne Parish the speckled trout spring run seems to be in rut. This morning was gorgeous and at daybreak with light wind, the fish wanted to jump in the Bluewave. At the first stop some buddies of mine were already there and catching on the oyster beds. My guests were pretty excited about this and made quick work of about 10 trout. The bite went cold so we relocated to some structure nearby and got on a steady bite. The tide was incoming slowly but the fish were on the feed. Using soft plastics with a slow retrieve, we were done by 10:00 with 100 trout. Special guest on the boat today Robert Maiden from Pennsylvania caught his first trout today followed by many more. The guy was in heaven down here and kept talking about moving here. It's great to hear from other people every now and then just how special of a place this is.
