Drive train..

Anybody know of a company that can check and balance driver shafts in Lafayette..

I have a bad vibration in my truck/rearend... I'm going to get my tires checks to see if a belts shifted in tires and have them balanced.

I can't figure it out..I had my mechanic replace U joints less than 4-6 months ago.. Not sure if aftermarket u joints work in a Tundra. I did bring it to Drive line something near willow street.. Any other places in Lafayette that work on drive shafts??

Thanks

Gunner

USA Driveline is the only place in town that I am aware of. I believe there may be a shop in the Rayne area but not sure of the name.

Driveline Specialty, in Rayne, Kirk is my cousin. He should be able to check it for you. 334-3371.

Thanks for recommending Ur cousin.. I called and he was open this morning.. Drove over to Rayne.

He test drove my truck.. Said something was definitely causing vibration, and then got under truck with a cripper.. It was a very bad U joint.. Which have been changed less than 6 mths ago.

Kirk indicated he didn't want me to drive it home then go to my mechanic. So he took off my drive shaft. Ordered a new U joint, chanced it out.. Greased up the other 2 then reinstalled it.

He normally only works on the drive shafts. Not uninstalled or installs.

Great guy.. Trucks driving great now..

Thanks again jldsc.
