I think you cannot go wrong with a Shimano reel for saltwater fishing!

i have the revo, its a great trout reel even in the torture of a kayak, just have to keep it clean

Most drag capability avaiable for it's size .Which is needed if you catch alot of red's.

i have one also.. i love mine, but i only use it for freshwater. I dont even bring my curado saltwater with me.. Just to scared they'd get messed up. But if i had to compare it to my curado, I'd go with the curado. Its super super smooth and cast better against the wind, but i do like the power the revo has and its reel speed is faster.

My cousin likes the Revo's, Hes been catching them at Academy on the refurbished rack, bought a RevoSX yesterday. they are on some crappy rods. hes been finding them for around 39 bucks. supposed to be refurbished, but they seem to be okay, but for 39 bucks, how can you pass them up
