New boat registration
Bought a brand new boat April 10 from a dealer. Still waiting on my decals as of today. I called the wildlife and fisheries about two weeks ago and they have no info on my hull ID yet. Lady said the temp papers are good for sixty days. Anyone know if they are backlogged? If I don't get it in the next few days I guess I'll give the dealer a call.

they lose paperwork sometimes, I had mine take 4 months because you have to let 3 months pass before you can refile it, stupid burocratic rules
all you can do is wait and keep your receipts. if WLF has no record of it, then make sure you get a copy of the filled out documents from the dealer so you have proof the application is in "process" to avoid a ticket. beyond that all you can do is hurry up and wait. |
I bought a new boat in April of 2014. I received my registration paperwork in April of 2015. It seems that they are a little backed up in Baton Rouge.

When I bought my boat last year I seem to remember it being quite a long time before mines came in.

Bought a new boat last Friday. Went to WLF today to get my number and it took 5 mins. They were busy pushing paper and said that it would have taken 6 weeks if it was mailed in.
