Hooks and size for trout?

I usually use a #4 treble for hooking live shrimp and pogies/small croaker for trout for under a popping cork. I was thinking about trying the circle hook but was wondering what everyone's preference is.

1/0 sm-med. shrimp and 2/0 for large shrimp and small croaker. Both sizes in a kahle hook.

+1 on 2/0 hooks

treble hooks can be a pain to get loose sometimes and can kill fish you might want to release. there is a big difference in cutting off a deep swallowed regular hook and the fish surviving vs a treble hook that will snag everything and block its throat

I use a #2 kahle hook for small baits, larger sizes for larger baits.
