Ditch Bag

Guys,
I am curious what items y'all keep in your ditch bags?
Thanks in advance

Cash, passports, guns, undersized snapper filets, and lots of kilos.

Interesting question. I have never made up a ditch bag in all of my years of offshore fishing. I have always had one when I bareboat chartered on longer trips outside of local waters. In that case (pre gps days) I carried a handheld VHF, a couple of gallons of water in several containers, unperishable rations and energy bar type foods, first aid kit, flare gun kit, mono with hooks and a couple of streamer baits and a pair of reef runner shoes. That's about all I recall. While fishing offshore in local waters I guess we always felt safe as we were constantly, or so it seems, being overflown by rotorcraft, in sight of workboats or ships or platforms....a false sense of security you might say.
