Cameron Beaches

Anyone been down to the beaches (Rutherford to Johnson's Bayou) in the last few days? Wondering how the water looks.

I was at Little Florida Saturday. It was typically muddy, but quite calm. An ideal beach for reds, but didn't seem good for trout. I caught 3 Bulls and a shark in about 4-5 hours.

Thanks Average Fisherman! With the light and variable winds for the last couple of days I thought it may have cleared up. I still may give it a try tomorrow morning in the yak.

Went Saturday morning, went all the way to Little Florida, wind was howling out of the west and the water was chocolate. Turned around and went home, never wet a line.

Thanks for the reports guys! Hopefully that wind will lay down soon so that the surf can clear up.
