Chartreuse spike it accent for inshore ?

Chartreuse spike it accent for inshore ?

I'm a freswater/salt guy so I was wondering if anyone has ever used the spike it pen or bottle dip with garlic scent bass fishermen use to highlight a lil John, matrix shad ... ect. ?
I'm sure the chartreuse dipped tail in certain water clarity may help with visual but was wondering if the garlic scent hurt or helped if anyone has done this ?

I tried a little and found no difference. Did not go into a heavy study yet.

I have used it to add chartreuse to a bait before. Trout are sight feeders so the garlic scent shouldnt really matter to them, it may help with reds and black drum, but I havent ever tested it for that really

use it regularly also use the red and the white to dye tails

DIP IT just sayin!

They make it in other scents too. The garlic is most popular but I have seen for sure a baitfish scent

I figured when I made this post I would get little to no response ... Thought everyone would say "look at this fresh water yoyo asking a question like that"! :rotfl:

Appreciate the input guys !

Is "Dip it" better? Matt Migues?

I have never used it for Inshore fishing. But for bass fishing 100%... Although it probably makes no difference the biggest part about fishing is confidence in your bait. So if it helps your confidence get after it.

All depends on the day. I've been on bites where you could throw a piece of gum on your hook and wear em out. I've also been on bites where if the tail wasn't chartreuse you weren't getting bit

I use it a lot... I buy a lot of glow plastic... No need to buy glow/ chart plastic ... I just dip and go... Garlic works in saltwater Big Time... Sometime when they don't want plastics ... I spray gulp garlic spray... It does make a difference...

Looks like I'll be keeping a bottle or pen handy.

I don't mind a bottle in my boat ... But I use pens when I'm in someone else's boat. I would sure hate to make a chartreuse floor or deck accent piece in their rig ! :shaking:
