Tuesday 7/21 on big lake

1 Attachment(s)
Had an awesome day on big lake Tuesday. My buddy from Toledo Bend came down and we were at the spot before daylight. With a mix of live shrimp and plastics we had our limit of trout by 9:15 and 30 minutes of that time was spent sitting out a rain storm. We saw a water spout, a rainbow and the pink dolphin as we were fishing... So after a 15 minute debate on whether to roll it up and head home or go try something different, we decided to try the flounder. First place was a zero... Second place we found them stacked up and hungry. We were off the water by 2 with both out limits of trout and flounder.. Awesome time.Attachment 91549

Just jerking your chain man. I've never really gone out with my sights set on flounder. I've just stumbled upon them and 99% of the time they were hitting the swimming mullets in the two mentiones colors.

ive had luck around cuts going back into the marsh or just a flat mud bank with little things to get snagged on.

GSnell 07-25-2015 12:28 AM

Cuts. I'm no flounder killer. We went to catch specks. Ended early, so we rode around looking for cuts. First one had notta, second one we threw to the point going into the cut and the fish were there. Anchored off in the middle and worked both edges. Caught the ones in the picture on an incoming tide. So fished the outside edge.
