Took mom out and she had a blast ! Must have caught 20 bass and kept a few big enough to fillet. Sure is nice to get out on the Sabine again. Water was muddy in some spots and 88 degrees. The bite picked up once the water started movingAttachment 92704Attachment 92705

I'm not sure if there's ever been a time ( except for being all flooded) that a 4" watermelon red zoom lizard on a 1/0 hook with a 1/32 oz lead weight didn't work.

The 1/32 oz weight is pretty important in my opinion as well, it gets the tail of that little lizard to flutter just right on the way down. I've put heavier weights on and did worse.

Yea I keep the pliers out, I usually have them on 10-15 lb power pro or 10 lb P-line and when it gets snagged I can straighten the hook and then fix it a few times with the pliers.
