Had Justin and his 6 year old son today . We got him some live shrimp but bite was really not fast at 1st but got better later .
He hooked up to two bull reds on his Zebco 33 and popped both off after long fight . He also managed to cast and catch is 1st trout ever ( boated 7 him self ) along with his prize sheephead that have human teeth lol ( his words )
Great day on the water

Poor kid is going to be having dreams for a week about losing that fish, and that's how it all begins!

Lol yea he talked about it rest of day , that Zebco didn't have very strong line might of been less than 10lbs test .. Both times it broke in side the reel :pissed:
1st one was well over 20lbs it was screaming that reel lol 2nd might of been around 10lbs
Wish I would of got more shrimp for him because we only got was what's left at Spicers and it was not much ...

You need to get a good spinning setup for just that sort of situation.

I have spinning reels but you will not convince a 6 year old to give up his favorite rod and reel
