I just read that it's the strongest hurricane ever recorded. Wing gusts up to 245mph!

I can't EVEN imagine 200 MPH winds, with Gusts to 245.

And I went thru Katrina and Rita..

Some of the poor inland communities don't have TV, radio, or even electricity in some places. They have no clue what is about to happen. That's scary to think.

Yeah that what's sucks, most of them don't even have access to tape, the flooding and mud slides are going to be bad!!!
But just like us they will over come and rebuild, it not the first one and it's not going to be the last one.

The price you pay living by the water, it's going to happen every 8-10 year's, sucks when it dose, but that's mother nature at it's best, been happening for thousands of years before humans!!

I have been through the mountains in Mexico, usually they have traders traveling from town to town buying and selling the crafts you find in the tourist areas. I am sure the news travels from the cities to the small villages through those traders.

We dishes out of Puerto Vicente guerrero last year. I think they may be spared the wind but the rain will be bad for them. Where we were doesn't get hurricanes normally because of the proximity of the sierra Madre mountains to the coast. They don't have much down there but are sure happy with what they do have. I have been keeping up with our contact down there and he said that he took down his regular rain gauge and put out a 5 gallon bucket. He is in zihuataneho about an hour north of Puerto Vicente
