Shrimp in weeks north vb?
I know where the weirs are in marsh island and around ICY. But with high wind days where can I cast net for shrimp decently? Today only people who were catching were live. And I couldn't get any. Thought appreciated.

There is a weir on the north bank of the Intracoastal about 3/4 of a mile to the East of the Chene. Its set back in a cove and can be hard to see. When the shrimp are coming out of the marsh you can catch a few there. Thats the closest one that I know of. I don't throw live bait all that much but have had the best luck finding bait at the mouth of cuts coming out of the marsh. But the current has to be truckin.

last time I was at this wier I had a boat storm up to me and started taking pics of my boat and my numbers.... People are sooooo greedy these days! They own everything even the oxygen around it

I find mine along the grass, wednesday I caught more than i needed in 3 cast but it doesn't always happen that easy. get a 16' trawl and a $25 lisc. 15 minute drag should get you 100+ shrimp. FYI
