Hey jpeff just curious if the motor y'all have on there is a 20 inch shaft or 25? Just wanting to see who has 20 inch shaft motors on bay boats since I recently brought me a 2007 16 foot blue wave center console vbay boat . And had some friends telling me my shaft may be too short since I have a 2005 90 hp Johnson

If that is the 2016 they made a 25" shaft for that motor this year, first year of them doing that. 2015 they had a spacer and a jack plate to make the 20" shaft work.

It's a 25", my friend has the same boat as this with a 20" shaft though and I haven't noticed much difference.

I think the 250 had a 25" last year. The 225 was only offered with a 20" though prior to 2016

You are correct, I was looking at a 225. Silly to choose the 225 over the 250, the cost difference in motors is minimal. But they dealer orders them like he wants them, or I would have bought one, well a 244 anyway.
