The whale beached in Galveston. Marine biologist says it's a sie whale 45' long.

I didn't realize they had such a large tidal range there to beach it that far and high up on the beach?

haha I remember seeing a video of that now that you mention it and I also remember giant chunks of whale blubber went flying and crushed peoples' cars and stuff.
