1st week of January
 

Me and the wife will be coming to New Orleans the 1st week of January and I would like to bring my Bay Boat. With the mild weather and water temperature, can anyone recommend a place to pick up a few trout. Would the trestles or rigolets be worth a trip?

Lake P can be pretty hit or miss but when it hits this time of year its usually some nice fish. Delacroix has been on fire. I would bet the fishing is good around Bayou Bienvenue out of Chalmette right now also

Check out Todd Masson on Nola.com. He does a weekly podcast every Thursday about whats going on at all the hot spots in the Eastern Part of the state. He seems to know what he's talking about even though I don't make it over there very often. Its pretty in-depth and should point you in the right direction for the time your there.
