bow fishing

So I want to start rigging my boat up for bow fishing and I'm wondering what kind of light everybody uses on there rigs. I'm think just some cheap harbor freight work lights might work but if there's a better affordable alternative I'm all ears.

My son just finished setting up some LED spot cubes, 10 for $85! They are bright! I'll post some pictures later today or tomorrow of his set up it's pretty sharp. Plus the LED don't pull many amps. Think the cubes he got pull 1.5 amps each.

I would appreciate it. Do they run on 12 volts or 120? Also where did he purchase them?

12 volt He's running 6 lights all on 12 gauge wire & does just fine.

has he used those lights yet? while LED throws a ton of light and thats an excellent price, many LED colors don't penetrate the water. I have a few and they don't penetrate at all. SUPER bright but no penetration. Supposedly the warm colored ones work well but Ive never tried them

If you want to run a generator, then high pressure sodium lights are the most optimal. I run 6 9x9 150 watt HPS on a 2000 watt generator. My rail is removable with 2 pins.

If you want to run LEDs, then you'll need to make sure they are a warm white or put Amber tint on the lenses. I've fished with both and I prefer the HPS color in murky water.
