GOOD CATCHES FOR FISHERMEN STAYING OUT OF THE WIND
The past week saw strong winds from the north and the next day from the south which mudded up most of the lake. Good catches payed off for those fishermen that found clean water. There were good catches of flounder on Berkley gulp in the new penny color bouncing on the on an outgoing tide. Big tackle busting bull redfish have been prowling the Cameron jetties and were being caught on cracked crab and gulp. Some nice trout were caught on Thursday and Friday on the north end of the lake on Hackberry Hustlers rigged on light lead heads. The best colors were Pumpkinseed/chartreuse, salt/pepper and east beast. Water temperature remains around 65 but with these bright days it will warm quickly. We still have some of our spring fishing specials available so call toll free 888.762.3391 and let us hook you up to get in on our good spring fishing. Here are a couple of pictures from last week and you can see them all by clicking here. http://www.hackberryrodandgun.com/staticpages/index.php/new_gallery
