In my former life, I used to deal with Maxine on a regular basis and she was always a stand up person. I'm guessing something changed in her life for her to do this (if the allegations are true).

The good old Fraud Triangle. Pressure, opportunity, and rationalization is all it takes to make good people do bad things.

Temptation can be a "B".....we have to resist and do the right thing...hopefully she will be led back to the right path...

ONLY started stealing in 2010. It's not like she was stealing for an entire decade.... There's that rationalization part I mentioned earlier. :shaking:

o I forgot.. the article doesn't tell you that " she was given 3 day's notice BEFORE she was arrested....

ya know, so she could "get her affairs in order...

so she could bond out quickly and not have to stay in custody..

This incident is only surprising/disappointing to the naive. Anybody who knows anything, knows damn well and good the corruption and BS that goes on. She probably quit paying the boss his cut and he sent her to the gallows.
