Market for crippled Yamaha 200 HPDI
I had the misfortune of blowing my powerhead on my 2006 Yamaha 200 HPDI. Prior to this it was an extremely reliable motor. It only had about 300 hrs on it. It will start up and run a little faster than idle, but it does not sound good. The lower unit is good. I literally was on my first trip after replacing the tilt/trim ($2000). I am just sick about it, but I am not going to pay to rebuild a 10 year old motor. SO, finally, my question is whether or not there is a market for a motor in this condition. Surely it has to be worth something. I know, I know, put it in the classifieds and see what happens........I just thought I would ask the question first.

I originally posted in the boating forum, because I was hoping I would get some responses from other members, but I got moved to the classifieds. I'm not sure I want to sell it, but if anyone has any knowledge in this area (cost to rebuild, rebuild vs. repower, whether or not a market exists for outboard parts, etc.) please shoot me a pm. Thanks in advance!

I'm sure their is someone out there that would need/want it but I don't know where you start. Maybe someone will chime in.
