2016 CCA TROUT SHOOTOUT!!! (what happened??)
 

I am just curious if anyone else heard that CCA will not have trout shootout this year??? It was on there events calendar and now it has been taken off!!! Last year was the 30th annual and now they not having it this year????

Trout shootout was a cheated event. Personally saw it happen when I fished it and heard of it happening after. Dad's letting kids weigh there fish in after they saw they couldn't place. A couple of those kids are now guides. Of course no different that catching a winning flounder in private water for star. That's been done more than once as well.

I thought kids division was not by weight ? But was by drawing ?

Trout shootout is by weight. Star kids by entry. Star flounder adult has been won at least twice in private marsh
Trout shootout kids has been on several occasions with daddy's fish

Kinchen I just watched the latest episode of Paradise Louisiana and they had the Star CCA head guy on talking about the kids tournament and it is by a drawing. Each kid will have the same chance to win as long as it's a legal sized fish.

We talking about shootout not Star

We are not talking about the STAR. We are still talking about the trout shootout. So weight is the correct answer
