5/21 BL afternoon
 

Brought girlfriend with me on her first saltwater trip. My first trip or year. Been hunting turkeys hard all over the country this spring and haven't had time to go yet.

Ended up with 4 flounder and 1 red.

Tried the birds in west cove and came up with zero. She was throwing a vudoo shrimp under a cork and I was throwing plastic on 1/4oz. Had plenty of birds working but from what I could tell only small fish under them.

Hit jetties and a couple other red spots with some bait I caught in cast net and only found hard heads. Started working rocks with gulp and picked up one good slot red.

Went back to west cove and found some nervous water and saw some flounder working bait. Picked up 4 and lost a doormat and a couple others at the boat. Girlfriend doesn't like to lose a fish but she learned quick. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...8a6c3f13d7.jpg

Sounds like a good time! Not always about a full spread of fish...
