Local bee keepers

Curious if anyone knows any bee keepers in lake Charles area. I am interested in pursuing trying to have a hive or 2 at my place. Wanted to see if someone could show me the ropes. Any info would be great.

Go to the feed stores and farmers markets. They local sell honey there and it is a start.

Mr. Clyde Conner is a commercial beekeeper in Lake Charles. He's the one that helped me get started with my first hive. Don't have his number anymore, but he's the owner of Conner Electric on Broad st.

Thanks. I'm going with someone on Saturday. Excited too. All I want is like 2-3 hives. Just something to play with and have my own honey from my house. Will be nice I think
