State control of red snapper harvest

Just saw this: I'm thinking we should inundate Melancon's office with calls regarding his stance on this.

Yea, I'm suprised this subject isn't getting more attention. It sounded like everything was going in the right direction then Melancon pulled a 180. I read his explanation but it's not all adding up. Just like jchief said I'm sure it involves $$$, but not the government funding we would lose. More like someone's tied to the seafood industry and they would lose $$$.
No proof just my opinion and speculation.

yep sounds like someone snuck in some under the table money. How would managing red snapper be so expensive to be considered "fiscally irresponsible?" What a load of horse crap!:pissed: We manage all of our other species of fish and wildlife just fine. He as crooked as they come

Yes.. We should be calling his office and calling for his resignation... The licence increase last yr was tied to the LA Creel program.. Which I understand is about 1. 5 million to administer.

This is all BS...
