Beef Melt for Catfish?

Anyone used it with success?

never used melt but strips of cow liver work good I cut it in wormy looking strips so it can wave around in the current and give off a blood trail. Thats what they like cause its easy to detect from a distance. Anything that gives off a trail in the water that they can taste from a distance. Their skin is covered with taste buds and thats how they detect thigs from a distance they literally taste it. Thats who bloody things work well as does cheese or old style soap. anything that melts slowly or gives off a trail.

get a couple pints of chicken livers. get a beef heart, cut the heart into strips like cappy says, put the livers in a blender and puree . mix the heart strips with the pureed liver, store in zip lock freezer bags in the fridge, the longer it sits the better.

think you can only get it around Feb, but go to a place that sells crawfish bait and buy you some "Slicker", Skipjack herring. Very oily, like pogey. Good stuff!!!

can take live puree and put in cut pieces of pantie hoses. Then use a treble hook to keep it on to fish with.
